I remember so clearly the day Shane and I drove out to the property, we both got out of the truck, he walked around to all the buildings as I took in the serenity of the property. The first words out of his mouth were “I love it”! Each day we fall more in love with our little farm. That has to be one of my favorite parts of real estate, connecting people with places they love, watching them start planning their lives and living out their dreams.
It's amazing to see how much the farm has evolved over the past five years! It's amazing to see how much the farm has evolved over the past five years! What started with 22 sheep has shifted to a more manageable flock of 5 mama ewes and 10 lively lambs this year, including those adorable triplets and the black twins, Shep and Camille. The pigs were a fun adventure, but the farm has moved on to new additions, including three horses: a broad mare, Doc the gentle giant who is three, and a two-year-old currently at the trainer. Ducks have also joined the crew this year, with your first batch hatching out—how exciting! Plus, the North 40 ducklings are now happily splashing in the pond. And of course, the ever-reliable chickens continue to be a staple, providing 10-15 eggs daily, guarded by two roosters, Luke and King. It sounds like a busy but incredibly rewarding progression, and we're looking forward to planning a farm day soon to celebrate it all.
One of the most important things you can do for your community is give back and get involved. From local food drives, and education to the annual Back 2 School Blast that serves all school-aged children of Cascade County.

My Dad told me once "I've never looked into the eyes of someone Jesus doesn't love." This changed my life. Another favorite quote is from Heidi Baker..... "Stop for the one!" Both of these have shaped the lifestyle Shane and I live. Making time to give back is the beginning of a lifestyle of gratitude.
